Sh.K.N.Rao my respected Jyotish Guru cautions to be very much careful while making predictions during the dacha periods of Jupiter/ Venus or Venus/Jupiter. He say that in these period of dashes , some spectacular changes and developments both good or bad depending upon the conditions of these two planets in a birth chart crop up for a person which should be understood very minutely and cautiously.
Respected She. K.N.Rao Sir, while writing a full chapter along with his highly valuable astrological comments, on Jupiter/Venus & Venus/Jupiter, writes in his Book “Enigmas In Astrology” , in the chapter captioned as “ Jupiter-Venus” & “ Venus-Jupiter” Periods, as under:-
“Remember: Jupiter and Venus are enemies of each other, but both help in promoting scholarly and scriptural knowledge”. “Jupiter as the Guru of Gods lays emphasis on righteousness while Venus, Guru of demons, does not hesitate to adopt tactical violation of scruples to achieve desired objects”. “But both as most enlightened scholars and gurus do emphasize the need for spirituality in life”. Together in their dasha and Antardashas they must and do arouse spiritual quest”. |
By a deeper analysis of these two planets, a broader and vivid astrological conception emerges out for these two planets, which I have tried to explain symararily as under.
The two signs owned by Venus are Taurus and Libra. Moon is exalted in Taurus while Saturn gets exalted in Libra. Venus gets exalted in Pisces owned by Jupiter and Jupiter gets exalted in Cancer owned by Moon.
It shows that with their equality of status both get exalted in watery signs. Jupiter stands for absolute wisdom. Venus and Jupiter are also associated with a certain degree of abstraction.
Venus stands for fine arts. The pleasure one derives from music, which is linked to the fine arts results in the actuation of one’s mind by a prominent force, which agitates the emotional
Chords of a mind, which are implanted in a human mind, thus urging the mind to seek after something better and smoother for the human soul, which results in spiritual salvation.
Jupiter owns two common signs Sagittarius and Pisces signs with the fact that this planet stands for expansion. Sagittarius is represented by an archer, with a body, which is half human and partly animal. This sign indicates that the goal is fixed for Jupiter. This sign also indicates strong will determination and dynamism.
Coming to Pisces sign it is seen that this is the holiest sign of the zodiac. The sign indicates moksha too as per kaal-pursha kundali. It is represented by two fishes present in a great ocean and both are in opposite directions. This great ocean indicates that here lies the ultimate Truth. The attainment of material things as also the ultimate bliss is possible when there is a positive grace from Jupiter.
The ocean is static but always active due to strong currents. So when a person attains bliss his soul rests in a static position. But before that while reaching to the ultimate bliss in a calm spiritual sea one is not in a full static condition due to strong non static emotional currents of this spiritual sea, while following the path to ultimate bliss through the path of spirituality. Here Jupiter is the guide.
Venus owns the signs of Taurus and Libra. Taurus owns an earthy sign and thus the connection of Venus in the physical body are connected with this sign. Taurus is represented by bull. Moon the karka of matter and mind gets exalted in this sign. Libra is represented by a balance and is an airy sign. Saturn the planet of justice and renunciation gets exalted in this sign. Let us say that the finer qualities of Venus viz, realizing one’s existence are embedded in Libra. So the planet Venus has two potential responsibilities to its credit in the planetary governance and that is both for material lust as also for the ultimate penance.
The influence of Jupiter is very much needed for the attainment of higher planes of consciousness. Similarly on the material plane as well Jupiter is the only planet which commands the entire key spheres of material life like progeny, wealth, luck, name and fame etc. The other important spheres of life like sex, life partner, fine arts, vehicles, and property are looked after by Venus.
This shows the equality of status between Jupiter and Venus in the planetary cabinet.
A strong Jupiter in a birth chart bestows best qualities in person and enables him/her to understand the real meaning of life and its material living, apart from the most vital fact of one’s existence and ways to attain liberty from it. A strong Venus in a birth chart bestows a person with attractive things in life apart from gearing up the qualities of music and fine art in him/her. One gets enabled to identify the streams of emotional currents within oneself through the medium of music and fine arts. This is the spiritual plane of a good Venus in a birth chart. Venus gets exalted in Pisces sign which belongs to Jupiter and is one of the very important and holiest signs of the zodiac indicating moksha. It is represented by two fishes in an ocean. The vast ocean owned by this planet of expansion is very much suited for Venus. With the influence of a strong Venus in a birth chart, it becomes most powerful in this sign of moksha . Venus which fundamentally stands for Maya , ultimately takes its final shape in the vast ocean which is consciousness and bliss. This is what exactly our Jyotish Guru Sh. K.N.Rao has mentioned in his book as referred to above that”:-
“Remember: Jupiter and Venus are enemies of each other, but both help in promoting scholarly and scriptural knowledge”.
“Together in their dasha and Antardashas they must and do arouse spiritual quest.”
Thus one has to be very much cautious in his/her approach while analyzing these two planets in a birth chart, particularly while interpreting the dash and the antar dasha periods of these two planets, between these two planets. Sh. K.N.Rao Sir, further mentions in his book as referred to above as under:-
“What to expect in Jupiter Mahadasha”, “If exalted, in own house, mooltrikona in 5th, 9th or 11th houses from lagna or in his own Navamsha or in exaltation in the Navamsha (karka), expect good results materially, spiritually and also in family surrounding”. “If otherwise debilitated, combust, ill associated or in the 8th house or 12th house the results attributed should be viewed in two ways; first, on the negative side material loss and troubles of many types. On the positive side there will be spiritual gains through pilgrimages”. “Note: – Most of the astrologers commit this mistake of not seeing the great spiritual side of a badly placed or afflicted Jupiter. Jupiter never disappoints you if you know what he is promising to give”. “Note: – Therefore, remember not to stress negativity of an afflicted or ill placed Jupiter. What he takes away materially is compensated spiritually if only you know that Jupiter’s demand is that you do not neglect spiritual life”. “When”? When will an afflicted or ill placed Jupiter give results should be understood clearly”. “An afflicted or ill placed Jupiter proves troublesome only in the beginning of the dasha. In the middle and the end part it compensates very well materially”. The drawable conclusions are two:- 1. Blemish less Jupiter proves very good whatever the lagna be. 2. Blemished Jupiter first inflicts suffering then compensates munificently. Jupiter, the Guru of gods instructs spiritually always, whatever be his condition. Again if in good condition and well placed which invariably means if exalted, in own house, mooltrikona in 5th house, 9th house, or 11th houses from lagna or in own navamsha or on in exaltation in the navamsh, very good results can be expected. Luxuries, material comforts, high position and honours seem to flow easily. If on the other hand venus is debilitated, combust, ill associated or on 8th or 12th house the results attributed are all negative. Note: – It is here that those who do not synthesize the principles of Parashara will jump into a well of total negativity because; the exception to this interpretation is also available in Parashara. Note: – But remember always that the Sanskrit term used for debilitated is neecha meaning “mean”. In the Maha or Antar dasha of Venus the tendencies to be opportunistically mean, to become a grabber and to take to unscrupulous ways to earn the fame and money can be very strong. Special: – If Venus is the 9th or 10th lord and is placed in lagna or the 4th house, in its dasha it enthuses a person to combine best of the spiritual activities with pursuit happiness and luxuries.
