Article –Violent Death

Sh. K.N Rao Sir, in his recent research classes has made us to work on the cases of violent deaths astrologically through the Vimshotari  dasha based on  the “ Lagna-Dasha”, confirming the results of Vimshotari  dasha pattern  as per the longitudes of Moon, which is mostly in vogue.

Some of the cases are explained as under.

Case No-1:-  Smt. Indra Gandhi

DOB: – 19-11-1917, TOB:-23:11:00, Coordinates: – (81 E 51, 25 N 27).

This is the birth chart of one of the former Prime Minister of India.

Her Person:-   Her birth chart is of an immense importance for almost all facets of life, which have enough of astrological importance and credence,  for the  better understanding of subject of astrology.  It thus needs to be discussed minutely as per astrological parameters.  She was a person of strong will who ruled this country with determination and dedication. She attained a lot of name and fame across the world as a shrewd politician, a strong willed states woman, an able administrator. She was Minister for Information and Broadcasting (1964- 1966). Then she held the highest office as the Prime Minister of India from January 1966 to March 1977. She again became the Prime Minister of India from January 14, 1980 till her assassination.

After Gandhi ordered military action in the Golden Temple in Operation Blue Star, her own bodyguards who were Sikh nationalists assassinated her on 31 October 1984.

She was shot dead by her own body guards.   The dasha was Saturn /Rahu/ Rahu.

In the main birth chart while Saturn is the 7th lord thus a ‘Marka’, it is the 8th lord too, thus a killer planet in lagna aspecting the lagna  lord Moon in the 7th house. It is an affliction to both the lagna and the lagna lord Moon. Lagna is in ‘Papkartari situation showing short life. Saturn the 7th lord which is ‘Marka’ is also in a ‘Papkartari’ situation. So Saturn as the main dasha lord and a ‘Marka’ was responsible for her death.  Rahu as the antar and P. antar  dasha lord is justified in her killing as Rahu is a  qualified killer.  Rahu is in the 4th house in the Navamsha chart, when its dispositor Mercury  is in the 8th house with the  8th lord Venus, aspected by Saturn which is the 12th lord as well in that chart,  so attaining  the powers of a killer planet.  Saturn and Rahu are in 6/8 position    to each other thus bound to cause a deep harm to her in the shape of her violent death.   Saturn is in ‘Sarpa’ Dreshkona depicting Aggression. The dispositor of Rahu is Jupiter which has the aspects of Sun and Mercury, when both these planets are in ‘Sarpa’ Dreshkona, depicting aggression.  It shows that her death was through the means of aggression when she succumbed to the bullets of her own body guards. The role of the 6th and the 8th houses is coming into play in this violent death.

Does the lagna dasha confirm it? Yes.

The lagna dash was Rahu / Venus /Saturn.

Rahu as dasha lord is justified in her killing as Rahu is a qualified killer. Being in the 6th house  it shows enough  turmoil of sorts in respect of animosity of sorts. Rahu is in the 4th house in the Navamsha chart, depicting  self comfort zone when it is placed in Gemini sign a good sign for Rahu,  But  its dispositor Mercury  is in the 8th house with the  8th lord Venus , aspected by Saturn which is the 12th lord as well in that chart,  so attaining  the powers of a killer planet.  The dispositor of Rahu is Jupiter which has the aspects of Sun and Mercury, when both these planets are in ‘Sarpa’ Dreshkona, depicting aggression , showing her death through aggression which means violence.  Venus is in the 6th house, in Rahu/ Ketu  axis,  prone to give  troubles of sorts as per the significations of the  6th house, which  means diseases, enmity, accidents, hospitalization injuries,  and the  like.  In the Navamsha, Venus is the 8th lord in the  8th house, with Mercury the 7th lord, a  “Marka”.  Thus Venus attains the form of a killer planet.

While Saturn is the 7th lord thus a ‘Marka’, it is the 8th lord too, thus a killer planet in lagna aspecting the lagna  lord Moon in the 7th house. It is an affliction to both the lagna and the lagna lord Moon. Lagna is in ‘Papkartari situation showing short life. Saturn the 7th lord which is ‘Marka’ is also in a ‘Papkartari’ situation. So Saturn as the p. antar  dasha lord and a ‘Marka’ was responsible for her death.    It shows that her death was through the means of aggression when she succumbed to the bullets of her own body guards.

In this regard it is necessary to mention here the role of Nidhanamshasthana. Any planet, if placed in the Navamsha chart in a sign which is owned by the 8th sign of  the main rashi chart, it is known as Nidhanamshasthana.  As such there can be nine Nidhanamshathana in a chart, in nine different signs, at a distance of 40 degrees.

Jataka Parijata mentions that when the ascendant lord is placed in the Navamsha, in the rashi which is owned by the 8th house of the rashi chart, or is eclipsed by Sun or is in the 6th house, the person will die of starvation or on the bare ground when no relations will be by his side at the time of his death. (Shaloka-82, Adhay-V).

(Not going by its literal sense only, it means one’s death through acute and horrifying unusual circumstances)

In the present case the ascendant is Cancer and its lord being Moon placed in the 7th house in Capricorn rashi. In Navamsha Moon is in Aquarius rashi which is the 8th house sign of the main rashi chart. It fulfills the above condition to the extent that the ascendant lord Moon is in the 8th house sign of the rashi chart in the Navamsha chart. So it is Nidhanamshastha. She succumbed to the bullets of the assassins, when no blood relation was by her side. It confirms her death buy violence.

Example:-2,  Mahatama Gandhi Ji.

DOB:- 02-10-1869,  TOB:- 8:40:00, POB:- Porbander, Gujrat

This is the birth chat of a great leader of India ‘Mahatama Gandhi’ who is known to have fought  relentlessly against British Rule for getting  independence to  India  by his continuance strenuous efforts through peaceful means.  He was a very great leader, who is still known and remembered   very much popularly both nationally and internationally. He was a leader who was born with a mission to have India liberated from the clutches of the British Rule. He is popularly known as the ‘Father of Indian Nation’.

It has to be noted that for the Libra lagna, Jupiter/Venus or Venus/ Jupiter periods bring a distinct transformation in a person. Such a transformation whether positive or negative leaves some imprint upon a person. The great Mahatma lost his mother in Venus /Jupiter period and his own life in Jupiter/Venus period.

He was assassinated, when he succumbed to the bullets of his assassin, on 30th January, 1948, when the dasha was Jupiter/Venus/Venus.

Lagna has its lord Venus in it. But 12th lord Mercury is also in the lagna. It weakens the position of the lagna and the lagna lprd Venus. Lagna and the lagna  lord Venus are in  a “ Kartari: position. So the lagna and its lord Venus are in an afflicted position showing some danger to life and longevity. Lagna and the lagna lord Venus has an aspect of 6th lord Jupiter from the 7th house adding more vulnerability to the position of the lagna and the lagna lord Venus, thus showing some problem with his life and longevity.

His death is corroborated by the dasha sequence as the main dasha lord Jupiter is the 3rd and the 6th lord in the main birth chart, thus a malefic planet for this lagna, when it is retrograde.  It is placed in the 7th house assuming a ‘Marka’ status aspecting the lagna and the lagna lord Venus. It is retrograde too. Jupiter is aspected by Mars the 7th lord which is the  “ Marka” in this case.  Jupiter is aspected by the 12th lord Mercury placed in the lagna.  Its role as main dasha lord for his death is getting justified. Lagna and the lagna lord Venus the antar and the P. antar dasha lord is in ‘Bhandhan’ Yoga, in a ‘Pap-Kartari’ position. Venus is the 8th lord as well.  Venus is with the 7th lord Mars which is “ Marka”.  Venus has an aspect of 6th lord Jupiter from the 7th house adding more vulnerability to the position of  lagna lord Venus, thus showing some problem with his life and longevity.  So the role of Jupiter and Venus is getting justified for his death which was violent. Mars as the “ Marka” planet as the 7th lord aspecting the Jupiter the 6th lord makes the role of Jupiter as a violent planet as Mars shows violence as well.

In Navamsha Jupiter is the 12th lord in the 12th house aspected by Sun the 8th lord from the 6th house, justifying his killing out of vengeance. Venus is in Rahu/Ketu axis and is in 6/8 position with Jupiter.   It is Nidhanamshastha, as explained above. Venus is the 10th lord, depicting the end of ‘Karmas. Navamsha is confirming the position of death.

Does the lagna dasha confirm it? Yes.

The lagna dash was Venus/ Moon/ Jupiter? Yes.

Venus the lagna lord  is in ‘Bhandhan’ Yoga, in a ‘Pap-Kartari’ position. Moon is the 10th lord but it is in Rahu/ Ketu axis, thus afflicted. Moon being in ‘Kemudruma – Yoga’,  thus afflicted.  The role of Moon being afflicted as the  10th lord shows end of “ Karmas” , which shows his death. Navamsha is justifying the role of Moon as  a killer planets as it is the 7th lord thus a “Markesha”. Its dispositor Jupiter  is in the  12th house, aspected by the 8th lord Sun from the 6th house.  So Moon is liable to be supporting his death as per Navamsha chart. The role of Jupiter has already been explained above as the  main dasha lord, involved in his death, when in this dasha pattern it is the 3rd level dasha nath. His death is getting confirmed through this lagna dasha as well.

In this regard it is further  necessary to mention here the role of Nidhanamshasthana. Any planet, if placed in the Navamsha chart in a sign which is owned by the 8th sign of  the main rashi chart, it is known as Nidhanamshasthana.  As such there can be nine Nidhanamshathana in a chart, in nine different signs, at a distance of 40 degrees.

In the present case the ascendant is Libra and its lord is Venus placed in the ascendant itself. Venus in Navamsha falls in Taurus the 8th sign of the main rashi chart. So this combination fulfills the above conditions of the Venus the ascendant lord being in the navamsha in the 8th rashi of the main birth chart which is Taurus. So it is Nidhanamshastha.  He breathed his last when he felt to the bullets of an assassin, when no blood relation was by his side, when Venus dasha was in operation.

Then its role as Nidhanamshastha, confirms its role for his death in an unusual situation, when Mahatama Gandhi a great and a world famous leader felt to bullets of his assassin.
