Transits of slow-moving Planets: – The transits of the slow moving planets Saturn and Jupiter for the event of marriage is very much important as per the research conducted in this behalf astrologically.
In this regard before the transit position of the slow moving planets is discussed, it is essential to know briefly about planets like Saturn and Jupiter.
Saturn: – While as a common astrological concept about Saturn is that it is a malefic planet. Why so? Because it punishes a person for his or her bad deeds commonly called as one’s ‘’Karma”. But that is not the end. Saturn is the cosmic time keeper, or the Cosmic Clock, when Saturn is referred as “Kaal”, when we often consider “Kaal’ as death only and not as time, when death is related to time. This concept is of Maharishis of past, who gave us the science of astrology, which if understood and used properly is s cosmic science fully following the principle of ‘Cause and Event”. Saturn is the primary indicator of marriage, being the regulator of the cosmic clock. Its initial approval is needed for one’s marriage; otherwise there will be no marriage. Saturn unites the two marrying partners, viz, the bride and the bridegroom.
Jupiter: – Jupiter representing Jeeva and the Divinity, has to accord its sanction in consultation with Saturn to make one’s marriage happen.
i, Double transit effect of both Saturn and Jupiter on the 7th house or its lord, lagna or its lord, or the natal Moon, has to be there for the stimulation of marriage event. In this regard it is necessary to mention here that once Saturn has a transiting effect on the 7th house or its lord, lagna or its lord, or the natal Moon, within two and half years of such a transiting position of Saturn, followed by Jupiter’s transit, within one year of such a transiting effect of Jupiter over 7th house or its lord, lagna or its lord, or the natal Moon, the marriage materializes. Saturn bestows and the Jupiter blesses is the concept behind such a transiting positions of Saturn and Jupiter.
The alibi is that Saturn gives its approval for marriage when a person reaches the age of marriage and Jupiter bestows it through its divine potentialities as a planet representing divinity. This double transit effect of Saturn and Jupiter works with the availability of a favorable dasha for marriage. This has to be ascertained from the Moon chart as well. The role of Saturn and Jupiter comes in to play as the 9th and the 10th lords of the ‘Kal-Pursha- Kundali’, as the lords of Dharma and Karma houses.
ii, Transiting Mars aspects 7th house or 7th lord within six months of marriage.
iii. Transiting Mars aspects the natal Venus on the eve of marriage.
iv. Transiting Jupiter aspects the natal Venus in the case of males and natal Mars in the case of females, within six months of marriage.
v. Transiting Jupiter aspects the Dasha lord.
vi. Dasha lord transits over Venus and or on the 7th house, or the 7th lord.
iv. As per Jaimini Parameters, the aspect of transiting Saturn on Dara Karka (DK), Darka Navamasha (DKN), promises marriage, subject to the availability of a favorable dasha for marriage. It means that Saturn activates the DK immediately before the marriage. This is the Saturn’s approval for the marriage, which gets further confirmed by the Jupiter’s blessings for the same, through its aspect on the DK.
v. Jupiter aspects the Vivah Saham (VS), which is arrived at by adding the longitudes of the lagna lord and the 7th lord.
4. Transits of Faster Moving Planets:- Sh. K.N.Rao our Jyotish Guru writes in his book, “Astrology, Destiny and the Wheel of Time”, in the chapter “ Timing Marriage”, as under:-
“We invoke Gods to celebrate our marriage. Planets representing Gods attend marriages”. It means most of the planets should be around or aspect the 7th house or the 7th lord on the occasion of one’s marriage.
a. The lagna lord and the 7th lord in transit make a connection immediately before marriage. Thus in the course of marriage, before a physical meeting with one’s spouse on earth occurs, the lagna lord and the 7th lord in a planetary combination meet in heaven before marriage, to pave the path for the marriage.
b. Lagna lord transits in or near the 7th house or the 7th lord, or transits over or near the lagna or the lagna lord.
c. Sun including most of the other planets hover in or around lagna or the 7th house. During the process of performing of wedding ceremonies, mostly in our societies as per rituals, Vedic mantras are recited and prayers offered to our religious deities and gods to invoke the blessings of the “Heavens”. It thus makes the Gods to witness the solemn ceremony of the marriage and thus give their blessings. This is nothing short of the “Angels”, “The Avtars” as the representatives of lord Vishnu, in the form of Sun and other planets either transit or hover around the lagna or the 7th house, to witness and celebrate the marriage and give their blessings.
d. Transiting Moon also either transits over the 7th house or hovers around it.

Transit Chart
The date of marriage is 11-10-1965, when the dasha as per Vimshotari dasha was Saturn/ Moon/Saturn. As per the main chart Saturn is the dispostor of the 7th lord Venus and is placed with the 2nd and the 5th lord Jupiter indicating family and progeny. So the involvement of the 7th lord Venus is there through its dispositor Saturn, which is conjunct with Jupiter indicating family and progeny. As per the Moon chart Saturn is the lagna lord and is the dispositor of the 7th lord Sun, which is aspecting the 7th house. So the dasha lord here as per this chart shows the involvement of the 7th lord Sun through lagna lord Saturn. Saturn is also with the 2nd lord Jupiter, indicating growth of family, which takes place with one’s marriage only. The antar dasha lord Moon as per the main chart is with the 7th lord Venus in the 4th house. As per Moon chart, it is with the 7th lord Sun and aspecting the 7th house. Saturn as P. antar dasha lord will equally bestow the marriage as its role is defined as the Maha dasha lord
. As per Navamasha chart Saturn is in the 12th house as a “Yoga-Karaka” planet for this lagna and is aspcting the 2nd house the house of family “ “Kutumbha”. Saturn is in the nakhshtra of Venus, which is the 7th lord of the main birth chart and is in lagna in the Navamasha cahrt aspecting the 7th house. So Saturn is competent to bestow marriage. Our Jyotish Guru Sh. K.N.Rao as mentioned already in earlier Paras, mentions that any planet getting the influence of Mars or Venus in the Navamasha has a major role in causing marriages. In this case in Navamasha, Moon is in the 7th house and is aspected by Venus, (which is the karka as well) and is in the rashi of Mars the 7th lord, in the 7th house. Thus competent enough to bestow marriage. Saturn as P. antar dasha lord will equally bestow the marriage as its role is defined as the maha dasha lord.
Transit Position:- Saturn was transiting on the 4th house, in Aquarius sign , where the 7th lord Venus is placed. Jupiter was transiting Gemini sign, thus aspecting the 4th house, where Venus the 7th lord is placed. The double transit aspect over the 7th lord gets confirmed, thus the event of marriage with appropriate dasha for marriage. As per Jaimini Parameters, Saturn was transiting over the DK Venus as also aspecting the DKN sign Libra. Jupiter had already aspected the DKN sign Libra from the previous sign Taurus before moving to Gemini sign. Thus the double transit effect of Saturn and Jupiter is on DKN sign Libra, confirms the event of the marriage with the availability of appropriate dasha, when Saturn was transiting over DK Venus as per transit chart of the day of marriage.
Planetary position on the day of marriage:-
As detailed above that Sh. K.N.Rao our Jyotish Guru mentions that we invoke Gods to celebrate our marriage. In this chart it is observed that the lagna lord Mars meets the 7th lord Venus and are together in the lagna, aspecting the 7th house, while imposing the transit position of the date of marriage with the natal birth chart. Transiting Mars is also aspecting the natal Venus placed in the 4th house. This combination is getting the aspect of Saturn from the 4th house. 7th house has equally two important planets, Jupiter and Moon hovering around it. Moon is about to join the brides house, the 7th house, being in the 6th house. Jupiter has already left the 7th house having blessed the bride and is aspecting the lagna lord Mars located in the 2nd house as also the 7th lord Venus located in the 4th house.

Transit Chart
The date of marriage was 11-10-1965, when the Vimshotari dasha was Saturn/Rahu/Jupiter. As per Vimshotari dasha, Saturn is in the 7th house as the 5th lord and is in exchange with the 7th lord Mars. It is aspecting the lagna and is getting aspected by Moon a benefic planet as also the 10th lord the lord of the Karma Sathana, located in lagna. In Navamasha Saturn as a yoga karka planet being the 9th and the 10th lord is aspecting the 2nd house, the house of family (kutumb). Its dispositor Jupiter which is the Karka too, is aspecting the 7th house. 7th house involvement is fully coming into play. Thus Saturn as the main dasha lord bestowed the marriage. The antar dasha lord being Rahu. Its dispositor Mercury is with the lagna lord Venus in the 9th house being aspected by Saturn placed in the 7th house. Rahu is aspected by the 7th lord Mars as well. Rahu in the main birth chart is aspected by the Karka Jupiter also. Thus bestows marriage to the person concerned. In Navamasha Rahu is in the 10th house and its dispositor Saturn in the 8th house is aspecting the 2nd house, the house of family (Kutumb). P. antar dash lord Jupiter is the karka and is aspected by Mars the 7th lord in the main birth chart. In Navamasha Jupiter as the 11th lord is aspecting the 7th house as also Venus, which is the lagna lord. So Jupiter too has finally contributed to the event of marriage.
Transit Position:- :- Saturn was transiting on the 5th house, in Aquarius sign , where the 7th lord Mars is placed, thus aspecting the 7th house as well. Saturn is thus influencing both the 7th house and the 7th lord. Jupiter was transiting Gemini sign, thus aspecting the 5th house, where Mars the 7th lord is placed. Transiting Mars is also aspecting the natal 7th lord Mars located in the 5th house and the lagna lord Venus placed in the 9th house. The double transit aspect over the 7th lord gets confirmed, thus the event of marriage with appropriate dasha for marriage. Transiting Saturn had already aspected the DKN Scorpio sign from the previous sign Capricorn a year or so back. Transiting Jupiter was transiting over the DK Venus.
Planetary position on the day of marriage:-
As detailed above that Sh. K.N.Rao our Jyotish Guru mentions that we invoke Gods to celebrate our marriage. Planets representing Gods attend marriages. In this chart it is observed that the lagna lord Venus meets the 7th lord Mars and are together in the 2nd house, next to lagna , in the house of family. This combination of transiting Mars and Venus is making a link with the natal Jupiter which is the Karka too, placed in the 8th house. Transiting Moon is in the 7th house, to greet the bridegroom. Saturn is transiting over the 7th lord Mars, and is aspecting the 7th house too. Transiting Jupiter is blessing the bride and the bridegroom by aspecting the lagna and the 7th lord Mars located in the 5th house, when Jupiter is transiting over the lagna lord Venus, which is the DK also. Mercury is in the lagna on the marriage day when the planet of royalty Sun is also hovering around the lagna being in the 12th house. It shows that the planets really attend the marriages.
