04: 24         11: 06       29:14        23:42          00: 55         20:42         04:40        04:59      17:45

This is a case of both “ Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga,  once assessed as   per  “Uttarkalamrit of Kalidass”, postulates,   when   it  can be taken as a case of “ Vimala Yoag” and  “Sarala Yoga”, as well,  as per  “Phaladeepika  (Mantreshwara)”, definitions.  The formation  situations of  both such  type Yogas,  have already been discussed elaborately in the chapter-2 of this book,  as also in the beginning of this  chapter.  6th lord Jupiter in the 12th  house designates its position   as a “ Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga, as per Uttarkalamrit of Kalidass”, when as per  “Phaladeepika  ( Mantreshwara)”,  it gets captioned as “Sarala” Yoga. 8th lord Venus in the 8th house, would also mean “Vipreta-Raja” Yoga, but it is associated with Mars which is the lord of other Bhava, other than that of  the 6th, 8th and the  12th house, thus does not constitute a  “ Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga. As already mentioned such placements of the 6th, 8th  and the 12th lords should not  have the  involvement of the lords of the  other houses in any form with it.  Similarly such a situation of the 6th lord Saturn in the 8th house is to be taken as “Sarala ” Yoga, as per “Phaladeepika  ( Mantreshwara)”.

Thus this case gets reduced to the situations of  a case of both “ Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga,  once assessed as   per  “Uttarkalamrit of Kalidass”,   as   also  it  can be taken as a case of  “ Vimala Yoga” and “Sarala Yoga”,  as per  “Phaladeepika  ( Mantreshwara)”,  as Jupiter as the 6th  lord is placed  in the 12th house,  and the 8th lord Venus is placed in the 8th house

As per “Uttarkalamrit of Kalidass”,    a person born in such a yoga will be very prosperous and will be famous, an emperor, king, endowed with the prosperity of all types.

As per Shaloka 65 , Chapter-6, “Yogas”, of  Phaladeepika (Mantreshwara), Sarala Yoga blesses a person with long life, he is learned and is blessed with children and wealth. He will be victorious over his enemies and achieves success in all of his ventures. He can be a great celebrity.

As per Shaloka 69 , Chapter-6, “Yogas”, of  Phaladeepika (Mantreshwara), Vimala Yoga makes a person frugal in his expenses as also clever in saving money. He is equipped with a good behavior towards others. He will enjoy happiness, will be independent, will follow a respectable profession and will be known for his good qualities.

In both these   conditions, it is  a very good situation for the  better  prosperity and overall growth of the person concerned, in the form of  “ Raja-Yoga”.

Brief Synopsis:-

This case pertains to a person who served as a professor of Sanskrit in various degree colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. He belongs to an average lower middle class  family of Kashmiri Pandits, of the Kashmir  valley.  Kashmiri Pandits of the valley of Kashmir have a history of being mostly very well educated, irrespective of their economic strength. He rose to a very good status of being a well reputed professor of Sanskrit, when he reached to a highest level of status in the  field of his profession.  He started from scrap, as he belonged to a lower middle class family   and with his hard work and resolute will he achieved very well for himself and his family. “ Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga,  and “Sarala Yoga” and Vimala Yoga”,   as already mentioned above in his birth chart, have contributed to his  such a rise in life,  along with the other promissory  astrological combinations in his main birth chart and the other relevant divisional charts.

 Analysis of the birth chart:-

Analyzing the birth chart, the  lagna lord Venus is  in the 8th house, showing a bottleneck. But it is placed in Taurus sign which is its own sign. It shows a glimpse of relief for the lagna lord. It has the aspect of Moon the 10th lord that is in the 2nd house, which is debilitated. The debilitation of Moon is getting cancelled with the  aspect of Mars from the 8th house.    A link of the lagna lord and the 10th lord is getting established. A link of the lagna lord and the 10th lord shows that a person has enough endeavor to achieve well in life. It shows  a good “ karmic” influence on self  for better achievements in life.  Jupiter the 3rd and the  6th lord is also aspecting the lagna lord Venus from the 12th house. As the 3rd lord its aspect indicates enough of  self struggle to lift himself and as the  6th lord it shows some bottlenecks as well.   A link of the 6th lord with the lagna or the lagna lord makes a person very hardworking.  The 10th lord Moon is debilitated, when its debilitation is getting cancelled with the aspect of Mars on it from the 8th house, when Mars is the  2nd lord and the  7th lord. It constitutes a “ Neech-Bangha” yoga. Position of Moon the 10th lord is restored to some extent,  but its initial impact of debilitation cannot be ignored.  The “ Neech-Bangha” Yoga does help a person,  but not without an initial slap or trouble. Such a situation resulted in a lot of turmoil for him in his younger age group, which included his studies as well.  The lagna is in “Shhubkartari” position, which speaks  good about his  good rise  in his life.  Ultimately he enjoined a very good life with a good family atmosphere, of course with some bad health conditions as the significations of the 6th, 8th and the 12th houses are also getting conveyed to  the lagna  lord which is in the 8th house. That part of his life is not being discussed here.

>>Discussing the Education & Professional  Part:-

4th house:

4th house is the principal   house of education and has   Rahu in it., when its dispositor is Saturn which is placed in the 5th house, the house of intelligence, knowledge, talent, education, “mantra sidhi”, etc. It is the house indicating one’s education and learning.  4th house the house of principal education,   has joint aspects of Mercury and Jupiter which are two most important  “Karkas” of education.  Mercury is the ‘Karka’ of learning, intelligence, wisdom, education, memory, and retention power.  Mercury represents communication skills of a person. Mercury is adored for the bestowment of the blessings of good education.  Jupiter is the principle Karka for the attainment of good wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, higher education, which includes spiritual knowledge as well. Jupiter’s aspect without any blemish makes a person knowledgeable about religious scriptures and Vedas.  So the 4th house of this birth chart indicates a good education for this person, of course with some bottlenecks as Rahu is placed in the 4th house.  4th lord is Saturn  is placed well in the 5th house. It shows inclination for some “ Pracheen-Vidya” which here means knowledge of Sanskrit.  So he did his post graduation in Sanskrit language. He had enough of spiritual inclination too, when he was deeply attached to  a Spiritual Guru in Kashmir who was a doyen of Kashmiri Philosophy of Shavism.

5th  house

As per “Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra”, fifth house indicates the knowledge, talent, education, “mantra sidhi”,  etc. It is the house indicating one’s education and learning. This house shows the levels of the intelligence of a person. One’s grasping powers are shown by this house. The powers of one’s discrimination are also seen from this house.  These significations are very much vital for having a very good education by  a person.

In the present, case the 5th lord Saturn which is the 4th lord as well, thus a Yoga-Karka planet for this lagna, is very well placed in the 5th house, the house of higher learning. Saturn representing “Pracheen-Vidya”, which in the present case means the study and education of Sanskrit language.

He did his post graduation in Sanskrit language when he finally adopted the profession of teaching as a professor of Sanskrit and Hindi at the graduation levels,  in the degree colleges of Kashmir.  A connection between the  5th house, its lord, the  10th house and its lord, shows that a person adopts the  profession of that subject of education, of   which he makes the  studies.  Here in this case the 5th lord Saturn, is making a link with the 10th lord Moon. It shows that Saturn representing the “Pracheen-Vidya”, which in the present case means the study and  education of Sanskrit language, thus he adopted the profession of  a professor of Sanskrit and Hindi  as his profession.

 Navamsha :-

The 5th house has the 9th lord Moon in it, when the 5th lord Jupiter  is in the 9th house, which is exalted. The 5th lord Jupiter is with the Mercury too. It means the combinations of the two vital “Karkas’’ of education in the 9th house, the house of higher learning and “Dharma” There is an exchange between the  5th and the  9th lords  Moon and Jupiter. It shows his higher learning and urge to acquire the “ Gyana” of religious scriptures. He was a versatile scholar of Sanskrit language, who had full hold on the “ Trik Philosophy of Shavism of Kashmir” and  had enough of spiritual inclinations too.

In this chart too the 5th  lord Jupiter is making a link with the 10th lord Sun,  by its aspect on Sun, representing profession,  placed in the 3rd house, when the dispositor of Sun is Saturn placed in lagna.   Jupiter while making a link with the 10th lord Sun, representing profession,  with its 7th aspect,  is equally linked to  Saturn representing “Pracheen Vidya” placed in lagna,  by its 5th aspect, being the 5th lord and the dispositor of the  9th lord Moon.    So, he adopted his profession as per his educational standards of having educated in Sanaskrit,  which was a high profile professor of Sanskrit teaching in degree colleges of Jammu and Kashmir,  when he retired as the head of the  department of Sanskrit faculty,  from the education department of Jammu and Kashmir.

He was appointed  first time as a lecturer in Sanskrit in a degree college of Kashmir, in November- 1955, when his dasha was  Venus/ Saturn / Mercury. Venus is  the lagna lord in the 8th house with Mars the 2nd lord indicating income. Venus has the aspect of Moon the 10th lord indicating profession.  Venus has an aspect of 6th lord Jupiter from the 12th house. The involvement of the 6th lord  Jupiter shows his first employment in the career of his life. Saturn as the 5th lord is the antar dasha lord, responsible to give him a job linked to Sanskrit. Mercury as the p.antar dasha lord,   placed in the 10th house as the  9th lord bestowed him the assistance of destiny to get a good  first job of his professional career. Involvement of the 10th house indicates the acquiring a job.

He was promoted as a senior lecturer in June 1965, when the dasha was Sun / Saturn / Mercury. Sun is the 11th lord placed in the 9th house, when Saturn is the 5th lord in the 5th house. Mercury is in the 10th house, the house of professions,  as the 9th lord.  The specific  significations of the 9th house, 9th lord, 10th house and the 5th house and the  5th lord are coming in picture in his promotion to a higher  status in his profession, which is getting justified with such a planetary involvement.

He was promoted as the   head of the department of Sanskrit faculty in August  1978, when the dasha was Mars / Mars / Jupiter.  The Moon chart explains it better. Mars as the lagna lord is aspecting the 10th house, the house of professions.  Jupiter as the 2nd and the  5th lord is in the 11th house the house of gains and is aspecting Mars the lagna lord.  Jupiter as the 2nd lord means addition to his salary and as the  5th lord means an addition to his status.

Note:- It is seen in this case that  when the other planetary positions are  proportionally   favorable both in the main birth chart as  also in the Navamsha chart  to bestow him the favors of a good rise in his life and career, yet, the   presence of the “Vipreeta-Raja” Yoga,  with an equivalent   assistance of the  “Sarala” Yoga and “ Vimala” Yoga,  have been  equally responsible to boost his growth and rise in his life particularly the  educational and the professional career, while having a lower middle class back ground to aspire for such a profound  rise in his life.
