Profession through Astrology-3

Professional Determinants  with  Raja Yogas and Dhana Yogas

Some of the  probable astrological fundamentals and  maxims  linked to the   profession of a person, as enshrined in various classics of astrology have been discussed   in earlier chapters of this book.  An attempt is made in the chapters hither to delineate the planetary permutations and combinations for various types of professions as are mostly being adopted in the present scenario of economic development across the globe with a specific focus on it with reference to our country  India.  The broader classifications of various professions are mostly categorized as “ Non-Technical professions and the “ Technical Professions” , depending upon the levels and the  patterns of education one adopts.   A detailed analysis of these have been made in the previous chapters almost in detail.

“A”

Various other astrological   planetary variants are  mentioned here under,  for ascribing reasons about the professional significations of various planets for a person.

>> “As per Brihat Parashara Hora Shasrta Shaloka 21-24, Chapter-1, Volume-1, mentions that the “Lord is in all the beings and the entire  universe is in Him.  All the beings contain both “Jeevatma and Paramatma Amsa”. Some persons have predominance of the former and some are having the predominance of the latter. The planets from Sun. Moon, Mars and Rahu  are “Poorna Paramatmamsa” planets.  Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Ketu are “ Jeevatmamsa”  planets”. (Refer BPHS Book Ranjan Publication, Translation by R. Sanathanam)

I

The PAC connection of the “Poorna Paramatmamsa” planets, which are the divine planets, on the 10th house, 10th lord bestows individual independence to one’s profession or professional deeds and one is likely to have his or her independent source of living, which mostly refers to adopting of business as a source of living. Such a situation may lead a person to opt for business as his or her profession.  If these planets get linked to the lagna or the lagna lord, it makes the lagna and its lord full of strength. Such a situation makes a person to deal independently, with one’s  all walks of life, which includes profession too.

II

6th house and its lord,  apart from the other significations, is the house of services too. If the 6th house and its lord are more stronger than the lagna or the lagna  lord,  it will lead a person to opt for service as profession, when he or she  shall have to work under someone else, which is called as subordination.

III

The rise and fall in the profession of a person, has to be ascertained from the condition of the 10th house and its lord, along with the conditions of the lagna and its lord, in the main birth chart, Navamsha chart and the Dashmasha ( D-10)  chart. Benefic planets and PAC connections of these planets and houses in all these three charts mentioned above will make the profession of a person a flourishing one. Any malefic influence on these  will not allow a person to grow very well in his/her profession.

IV

Amatya Karka (AK) planet has to play a significant  role in one’s profession. Planets representing the lagna, its lord, 10th house, its lord getting clubbed with  the AmK, will give  good results for the professional prosperity of a person.

V

The condition of the 10th house and its lord from the Pada lagna, should be in a benefic position for a good professional career. Malefic situation will mean ups and downs in one’s professional career.  Pada lagna is the house which is located as far as the lagna lord is located from the  lagna. Pada lagna is considered next to the main lagna.

VI

It is said that the Dasha gives the “Disha” (direction, good or bad). The dashas of lagna lord, the 10th lord along with that of the exalted planets, bestows professional favors to a person if these planets are in benefic positions.

VII

Double transit effects  of Saturn and Jupiter on the lagna and its lord,  10th house and its lord, from the lagna and Moon lagna  augers  very well for one’s professional  rise and prosperity.

VIII

A distress in the professional field of a person is likely to occur, when lagna, lagna lord, 10th house, 10th lord, and the planet representing the AmK, gets linked with the  Trik houses, 6th, 8th and the 12th house or their lords,  in a birth chart, Navamsha chart  (D9) and the Dashmasha (D 10)  chart.  Such disastrous situations occur when the dashes of these planets come in operation and their disastrous results come to surface either at the beginning or at the ending dasha  period of such planets. Similarly, the dasha periods of debilitated, retrograde and the planets having lost in planetary war also give damaging results in one’s profession.

IX

Sh. K.N.Rao my Jyotish Guru, mentions that be cautious during the dasha periods of Saturn/Venus and Venus/Saturn periods. So if the dasha periods of Saturn/Venus or Venus/Saturn,   gets linked to the lagna, its lord, 10th house, its lord, there are chances of distress in the professional career of a person, if Saturn and Venus are placed in a malefic position.

Some Relevant  Raja Yogas Relavant to the acquisition of  wealth, name and fame :-

As already mentioned above that various RajaYogas have equally a direct bearing about the financial position  of a person, leading a person  to have enough wealth due to one’s status bestowed to him or her due the  various Raja Yogas present in his or her birth charts including the relevant divisional charts.  So the clubbing of the Raja Yogas with the  Dhana Yogas in such cases will  suit the circumstances astrologically.  There are numerous Raja Yogas which are recommended  in the classics of astrology enunciated by saints and seers of the past in this regard.  Some specific such Raja yogas which are commonly referred to in this regard are mentioned as under:-

  1. Gaja-Kesari Yoga :-

Gaj Kesari Yoga is an auspicious Yoga in astrology formed by conjunction of Jupiter and Moon in a birth chart, in a specific manner.  By a general concept this yoga is formed when a Kendra house from the Moon or lagna,  is occupied  by Jupiter. These are 1st , 4th , 7th  and the  10th  houses from the Moon, or lagna.   Gaja-Kesari Yoga is known to be one of  the most powerful and a dignified Raja Yogas  Royalty and Dhana)  in Vedic astrology. Mostly it does not make a person to suffer much in life on account of his financial position. The term “Gaje-Kesari “, emanates from the words Gaja representing an elephant, when Kesari represents a lion. This yoga is supposed to confer a person the vigor of a lion and the solemnity of an elephant.

As per astrologers of great experience and acumen, it is indicative of the capability of a person to ride on a lion and an elephant, which indicates the excessive strength and high status of a person.  A person born with Gaje-Kesari yoga, is illustrious, hard working, wealthy, intelligent, scholarly, when such a person enjoys enough of fame and name in his life.

  •       Panch Mahapurush Yogas:-

This Yoga comprises of five Sub yoga’s,  named after the  combination of five great men ( pursha), where the “Pursha” are represented by the five different planets from Mars to Saturn, excluding the luminaries, Sun and Moon, as well as Rahu  and Ketu. It has its own characteristics, as in the  normal sense of the  definition of  a yoga as per astrological essence, which get formed with the combination of two or more planets,  the  five different constituents of this yoga,  are designated to  come in operation with the placement of five different planets from Mars to Saturn in a particular position  in a birth chart. Classics mention the outstanding results of these Yogas, which are full of splendor and manifest exceptional auspicious results to a person, which equally augments the professional standards of the person.  These Panch Mahapurush Yogas, are thus akin to add to the professional prosperity of a person, like any other “ Raja-Yoga” or a “ Dhana – Yoga”. It is essential that the planets responsible to generate these yoga’s are very powerful and without any malefic influence for creating these Yoga’s. The strength of these planets creating such Yogas should be of very good strength as per “ Shadbala and Awastha). Presumably Sun and Moon being the royal planters have not been included in these Yogas. Regarding the other five planets involved in these yoga’s,  these planets represent the five organs of sense, when the actions of a person after birth depend upon the  actions and  reactions  of sense  organs only. Mars represents the sense of sight, Mercury represents the sense of smell, Jupiter the sense of hearing, Venus the sense of taste and Saturn representing the sense of touch. Probbaly these five planets have been considered to confer the “Panch Mahapurush Yogas” .

Based upon the better strength and placement of the five planets, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, the five Yogas come in to operation which are designated as under:-

  1.  Ruchika Yoga- This yoga gets formed when Mars is in its own signs, (Aries or Scorpio), or is exalted in (Capricorn)   and placed in ‘Kendra from lagna”. It has limitations as it cannot come into existence with dual signs ( Dwisbhava rashi’s). It can occur when lagna  in movable signs  (Char-rashi’s)  or Fixed signs  ( Sthir-rashi’s) .
  2. Bhadra Yoga- This yoga gets formed when Mercury is in its own signs, (Gemini or Virgo), or is exalted in (Virgo)   and placed in “Kendra from lagna”. It has limitations as it can come into existence with the lagan is  one of the dual signs ( Dwisbhava rashi’s) only.
  3. Hamsa yoga- This yoga gets formed when Jupiter  is in its own signs, (Sagittrius,  or Pisces), or is exalted in (Cancer)   and placed in ‘Kendra from lagna”. It has limitations as it cannot come into existence with the lagna is a  movable  signs  ( Char rashi’s) and dual signs ( Dwisbhava rashi’s).
  4. Malavya Yoga- This yoga gets formed when Venus  is in its own signs, (Taurus  or Libra), or is exalted in (Pisces)   and placed in ‘Kendra from lagna”. It can occur in all lagnas.
  5. Shasha yoga- This yoga gets formed when Saturn  is in its own signs, (Capricorn or Aquarius) or is exalted in (Libra)   and placed in ‘Kendra from lagna”.  It can occur when lagna is  in movable signs  (Char-rashi’s)  or Fixed signs   ( Sthir-rashi’s) .

One can be an agriculturist, will get royal favors, sometimes having  deceptive postures,  fickle minded, may usurp other’s wealth and riches.one is liable to physical ailments and lives up to  a good  age. This yoga has its source from Saturn which is the  planet of masses. Saturn thus confers the status of leadership to a person. Amongst other celebrities,  J.D. Tata can be cited is an example case of this yoga.
  6. – Maha-Bhagya Yoga:-

This Yoga , which is considered  to bestow  a good destiny to a person has two dimensions, which apply to the males and females differently. These are:-

For males:-

  1. In the case of male this  yoga gives birth if the male  is born during the day time ( between the Sunrise to Sunset),when an odd sign  is rising in the lagna.
  2. Sun and Moon are in the  odd signs.

For Females:-

  1. In the case of females this  yoga gives birth if the female  is born during the night  time ( between the Sunset to Sunrise),when an even sign  is rising in the lagna.
  2. Sun and Moon are in the even signs.
  • – Amala Yoga:-

This yoga confers a very good career on a person if there is a powerful unblemished benefic planet in the 10th house from either lagna or Moon lagna. This yoga bestows both fame and wealth to a person.

  • -Lagnadhi Yoga:-

This yoga is formed when benefic planets  like Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are in the 6th, 7th and the 8th house from the lagna, jointly or separately.   Such a yoga bestows a happy life with wealth, fame and name. This yoga is more fruitful if the 4th house is free from any malefic influence. Similarly, the benefic planets should not have any malefic influence or should not be debilitated.

  •  Chandradhi Yoga:-

This yoga is formed  when benefic planets  like Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are in the 6th, 7th and the 8th house from the Moon, jointly or separately.   A person born with this yoga is  supposed to be wealthy, famous, healthy, long lived, prosperous,  polite and trust worthy. The positive results of this yoga will depend on the benefic positions of Mercury, Jupiter and Venus, as also on their lordships. It  makes a person as  an “ Adhikari”, which means a dominating person in a society. It has its limitations too, as Jupiter if in the 6th or the 8th from Moon may result in “ Shakata” yoga, which is an evil planetary  position.

  1. Chandra-Mangla Yoga:-

This yoga is formed, when Moon and Mars are together or in mutual aspects to each other, in a birth chart.  Classics mention that this yoga makes a person wealthy due to his own efforts. It is supposed to give a good financial stability and prosperity with a good sense of a business mind. Apart from making a person short tempered, irritable with worrisome, this yoga is not good for one’s mother and may not have good relationship with the mother.  The peace of mind of a person is always at stake, even after having lot of material gains and prosperity.  With malefic associations   or aspects on either Moon or Mars or both, or  this yoga occurring in malefic houses, or either of the planets  being debilitated, a person earns money through foul and illegal  means. With the aspect of Jupiter, from a benefic house, the evil effects of this yoga are minimized.   With the association or aspects of Saturn, this yoga may cause hindrances, bottlenecks and delays.

  • Parivartana Yogas ( Exchange Yogas) :-

By Parivartana it is meant an exchange. If an exchange of two planets occurs in a birth chart or two planets exchange their house in a birth chart it is called as a Parivartana ( Exchange).  When the two lords of different houses mutually interchange places, that is, when they occupy the house of each other, such a disposition of planets is known as Parivartan Yoga. Planets undergoing such an exchange gain strength and then behave as if they are located in their own houses. It binds the two planets together in producing results of varied nature depending upon the ruler ships of these two planets in a birth chart, sometimes very good results and sometimes adverse results as well. This can be only a broader definition of such of the results of the exchange of the two planets, exchanging their house in a birth chart. Respected Sh. K.N.Rao, our Jyotish Guru,  has often stressed  on  the point that whenever there is an exchange of two planets in a birth chart, concentrate first  on the owner ship of the planets of the particular houses involved and then equally see the association of the  planets both benefic as also malefic, which these exchanging planets are having in a birth chart. This will be the static configuration to arrive at the broader spectrum of the promise of birth chart in making the predictions.   The dynamic configuration viz. dasha sequence of these planets which are in exchange,  will be of more decisive nature and importance to conclude and foretell about the possible results and events which are likely to come and occur in the birth chart of a person in whose birth charts such an exchange or exchanges of planets occurs. There are three forms of this Yoga which are enumerated as under:-

a.  Maha Yoga:-

When there are mutual  exchanges between the lords of kendras, the trikonas, the 2nd house and the 11th house,  these  are known as “Maha Yogas” and these show good results.  These are twenty-eight in number.   One born under this type of Yoga is wealthy and is blessed by Goddess Laxmi. He is a ruler of many. He is honored by kings and the government and occupies a high position of responsibility. These Yogas promise wealth, status and physical enjoyments.

b. Dainya Yoga:-

When there are mutual exchanges between the lords of various house lords with the house lords of the 6th, the 8th and the 12th houses,  these are called as “Dainya Yogas”. These are thirty in number.  These are considered to be inauspicious and a person born under this type of yoga is considered to be of wicked nature, suffers from ill health and has persistent trouble from opponents. Out of these thirty yoga’s, the exchange with the 8th lord is considered to be the most inauspicious. The exchange between the lords of trik houses are known as “Vipreeta Raja Yogas”. The results attributed to Vipreeta Raja Yogas are shown as financial prosperity and a rise in status and it may not auger well for health.

c. Khala Yoga:-

When the lord of the 3rd house exchanges places with the lords of other houses other than the lords of  the trik houses, these are called as “Khala Yogas”.  That means the third lord establishes an exchange with the lagna lord, the 2nd lord, the 4th lord, the 5th lord, the 7th lord, the 9th lord, the 10th lord or the 11th lord. These are eight in number and give bad results. These give fickle and wicked nature, fluctuating fortunes and fluctuating temperaments.

>>Among these three exchange Yogas, It is the Maha Yoga which bestows  wealth, status, name, fame  and physical enjoyments. The other two Yogas are malefic Yogas, which give bad results.

  • Kendra -Trikona  Raja Yogas:-

Raja Yogas as already mentioned are supposed to uplift and boost the status of a person, almost in every field of his or her life. Of course, it depends upon the planetary strength of such Raja yogas. In this regard the planets occupying “Kendras’ and “ Trikonas”, are the most powerful planets, which delver better in respect of bestowing royal favor, success and a very good status to a person.  But, there should be   no malefic influence of any kind on these planets.  These panets should not be debilitated, combust or retrograde. While it is known that the “ Ekadipaties” which is Sun and Moon,    carry  the lordship of only one house in a birth chart, the other five planets,  hold  the lord ship of two  houses in a birth chart.  For such planets  while being the lords of “ Kendras’ or “ Trikonas”, these  planets carry the lordship of the other houses as well, which may be other than the “Kendra” and the “ Trikona” houses. In that case the benefic status of such a planet which is the lord of either the “ Kendra” or the “ Trikona” gets diluted to a greater extent particularly if such a planet has the  lord ship of the 3rd, 6th, 8th or the 12th house.

The formation of Raja Yogas:-

The four “ Kendra” houses ( 1,4,7,10) are called as “ Vishnu-Sthanas”, or the abodes of the Lord “Vishnu” , who is  known to be  the protector of the life along with its sustenance. Similarly the  “Trikona” houses, ( 1,5,9) are known as “ Laxmi-Sthanas”, the abode of the Goddess “ Laxmi”, who is known to be the  Goddess of prosperity. A combination of the  lords of the ‘ Kendra” houses and the  “ Trikona” houses results in the  formation of  a Raja-Yoga. In such a situation the lagna lord represents both a “Kendra” house as also a  “ Trikona” house. As such various Raja-Yogas will come into formation with the mutual relationships of various “ Kendra” and “ Trikona” houses as follows:-

Lord of the Bhava commanding the  Yoga    Lord of the  Bhava responding to this Yoga No of such Yoga’s
Lagna Lord4th  lord, 5th lord, 7th lord ,  9th lord  and the 10th   lord5 Combinations
4th Lord5th lord and the 9th lord2 combinations
5th lord7th  lord and the 10th  lord2 Combinations
7th lord9th lord1 Combination
9th lord10th lord1 combination
Total 11 Combinations

Out of all the above combinations, the classic books on astrology recommend that the following combinations of the  “ Kendra” and the Trikona” Lords bestow better results. These are mentioned  as under:-

  1. The combination of the 9th and the 10th lord,  known as “Dharma-Karma-Adhipati” Yoga.
  2. The combination of the lagna lord and the 9th lord, known as “ Lagna-Bhagya-Adhipati” Yoga.
  3. The combination of the lagna lord and the 10th  lord, known as “ Lagna-Karma -Adhipati” Yoga.

All the above combinations of planets representing the “ Kendra’ and the “ Kona” lords, as mentioned  in  the table above, bestow auspicious  results,  to a person during its Dasha, Antar and Pratiyantar  dasha periods.

Dhana Yogas ( Yogas for Wealth):-

Profession being the source of one’s earnings, it may  thus lead a person to accumulate wealth, if he is destined to do so as per his “ Karmic” influences. This “Karmic’’ influence is related and proportionate to the planetary configuration of his birth chart relevant to his birth time, date and place.   This planetary configuration in a birth chart of a person , is called as the “ Dhana-Yoga”, for the person concerned.

Wealth or “ Dhana”, of a person has not relevance to his or her accumulated  fluid cash only, but it  equally comprises  of the holdings of one’s real estate property,   lands, luxurious buildings with luxurious facilities, reserves  of  jewelry and gold, apparels, luxurious vehicles, luxurious items of comforts of various sorts,  shares in multinational companies and ventures, fixed deposit  investments in banks and other financial institutions,  apart from the fluid  money in the shape of cash denominations etc. Richness is supposed to be the boon of the nature for a person  through one’s destiny. It provides all the comforts to a person in life. It may purchase or buy anything for a person in life, for his physical comforts, except the mental satisfaction and peace. Certain major astrological determinants responsible for the creation of  wealth conferring Yogas, ( Dhana-Yogas”, in a horoscope are briefly mentioned as under. This has reference with the  astrological postulates recommended by the sages and seers  in various classics  on the subject of astrology.

Houses and Planets  linked  for providing wealth ( Dhana_yogas):-

Lagna:-

Lagna is the  principle house in a birth chart, which has immense importance for all the walks  of life for a person. It includes his financial position as well. No planetary “ Dhaan” Yoga has any validity unless the lagna and its lord is not strong and without any blemish. Lagna and the lagna lord is the basic key for the overall success of a person in life, which includes one’s financial strength and position as well.

Kendras ( Vishnu Sthanas):-

Kendras which are also designated as “ Vishnu Sthanas” have enough relevance in a birth chart and other divisional charts . These are known as Quadrants too. The 1st  house, the 4th house, the 7th house and the 10th houses from lagana ,  are called as ‘Kendras’. The lords of these ‘Kenda’ houses are called as ‘Kendra Lords’. The Kendras 1st, 4th, 7th and the 10th house, irrespective of which rashi forms the ascendant (lagna),  are the most significant houses in a horoscope. These are the four pillars of a horoscope. The whole horoscope rests on these houses. As such, these houses should be very strong in a horoscope. These houses should have enough strength, for one to live a better life, with a good financial stability.  In the case of weak strength of these houses, one may live a lopsided life, which  can mean a low financial strength too.  Kendras being the pillars of the horoscope, it thus shows the power of the Kendras,  which is known as “Kendra-Bhalam”.

Trikonas  ( Laxmi Sthanas): –

Trikonas which are also designated as “ Laxmi  Sthanas” have enough relevance in a birth chart and other divisional charts . These are known as trines too. These houses denote the fortunate events of a person in his or her life  as also successes in life along with one’s financial prosperity.

The lagna (1st house), 5th house and the 9th  house from lagna are called as ‘Trikonas’or ‘Trines’. These houses are highly auspicious, which indicate standards of the dignity, status, health, wealth, rise and failure in life, educational standards, virtues etc, of a person. First house viz, Lagna  is both a Kendra house and the Trikona house. Its lord is thus both a ‘Kendra lord as also a ‘Trikona’ lord. Lagna shows the ‘Jeevatma’, 5th house indicates the ‘ Atma’ and the 9th house shows the ‘Paramatma’ significations of  a person. 5th house is said to indicate ‘Purva-Puniya’, the good and bad ‘Karmas’ of the past lives, when the 9th house controls the ‘Prarabda’, that is the present destiny of a person. The lagna  which is  the ‘kendra’ house and  the  ‘trikona’ house  both,  it is the most significant house of all houses. Trikonas are also called as “ Laxmi-Sathanas”.  The financial prosperity of a person has a direct relevance with these houses.

Upachaya Houses: –

Upachaya Houses, which are the 3rd, 6th, 10th and the 11th houses, are the houses of achievements, indicating struggle and competition of a person for his material achievements in life. These are also called as the house of growth.  When properly activated these promote growth, which includes the growth in one’s financial stability and strength as well.

Artha Trikonas :-

Artha Trikonas in a birth chart constitutes of the  2nd , 6th  and the  10th  house.  Artha-trikonas’, (2nd, 6th and 10th houses),  indicates the position of wealth of a person. In this context while it is held astrologically that   the 10th house from the Trines (1, 5 & 9) house,   rule over the profession of a person, it becomes, the 10th, 2nd  and the 6th house from the lagna bhava respectively. It can be appreciated to see that the1st,  2nd and the 6th houses from the 10th house, the house of profession, become the trine houses for the 10th house, which carries a lot of importance from the astrological point of view. Thus while as the 10th house represents the profession itself,  the  1st  ,  5th  and the  9th  house from it become its trines, when these houses take the shape of the  10th house, the 2nd house and the  6th house respectively.  Trine houses from a bhava become its boons and mediums of prosperity in all respects.  Thus these houses, viz, the 2nd, 6th and the  10th house become the wealth producing houses for the 10th house, the house of profession. These houses are   astrologically called as the  “ Artha-Trikona”.

Wealth giving Houses:-

2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th and the  11th house in a birth chart are mostly the primary houses of wealth in various forms. 2nd house is the source of income, thus related to one’s wealth. 4th house is the  house of comforts, happiness, lands and buildings, vehicles and other luxuries. It is thus imperative for this house to represent one’s wealth in order to accommodate all the inputs of the significations of the  4th house in respect of one’s riches. 5th house is the house of “ Purva-Puniya” representing the fruits of the  past “ Karmas”, ( actions of the  previous   births), which has a vital importance in having sufficient wealth to enjoy this birth and its living. Its importance is more expressed and vivid, as it  is the “ Kendra” for the other houses of wealth the  2nd and the 11th house, thus becoming the cognizable pillar for these two houses, to show the strength of on’es wealth.   It is the house of intellect and knowledge, thus responsible to utilize itself  bettr  for earning of wealth through proper means and wisdom.  5th house  is also considered as the house of speculative gains, trading in stock exchange, shares, etc. This medium of attaining of wealth  bu a person is very  much common in the present scenario of financial transactions to earn money.    9th house is house which indicates the  destiny of a person, which has direct link with the financial strength and viability of a person. 10th house is the house of profession, thus indicates the mode of the earning of a person.  11th house is the main house which represents gains and acquisitions which has a direct link with the earnings of a person. A relationship between the above mentioned houses will lead to a good prospective financial status of a person involving riches for the person.

Planets ruling wealth:-

The lagna lord whichever planet it may be,  has to play a dominant role in the acquisition of wealth by a person. If the lagan and the lagan lord are weak, any benefic planetary combination may not fructify its proper results in respect of  the  wealth, health or status of a person and may become defunct. Classics in astrology mention that Jupiter is the general “ karka” of riches of a person which includes his or her wealth and status. Venus is the second best benefic planet responsible to bestow luxuries and comforts of sorts, which includes  buildings, mansions, vehicles, opulence and sensual pleasures. Moon is equally the welth giving planet, when Moon acts as an alternate lagna  for assessing the  quantum of wealth of a person.   Unblemished Mercury is another benefic planet to bestow riches to a person,  when properly placed in a birth chart. Mars has equal importance in this regard, when it is the  lagna lord of the  “ Kaal-Pursha” Kundali and exalts in the 10th house of the   “ Kaal-Pursha” Kundali, aspecting the  lagna, the 4th house the  house of comforts and the  5th house the house of intellectual   potencies,   dignity, honor and education. Rahu is also considered to bestow wealth, representing “ Maya”,  if well placed in a birth chart.

Various Possible “Dhana” Yogas as per planetary combinations:-

As is known the 2nd house is concerned with wealth of a person and the 11th house stands for the income of a person. Equally as already mentioned above  that the “ Trikonas” represent the ““Lakshmi” “Sthanas” ( Abodes of Wealth) as well, indicating the goddess of wealth. Thus any link between the these houses, through the  PAC relationships of the lords of these houses, will give rise to the combinations of the wealth giving planetary “ Yogas”, in a birth chart. Such several wealth giving planetary combinations called as ‘ Dhana-Yogas”, will occur with  the mutual relationships of the lords of these houses with  several combinations. Such combinations of the mutual relationships of the planets concerned may give rise to about such “ Dhana-Yogas”.

Such combinations for wealth giving Yogas ( Dahana Yogas)  will work out as under :-

Lord of the Bhava commanding the  Yoga    Lord of the  Bhava responding to this Yoga No of such Yoga’s
Lagna Lord2nd lord, 5th lord, 9th lord  and the 11th  lord4 Combinations
2nd Lord5th lord, 9th lord and the 11th lord3 combinations
5th lord9th lord and the 11th lord2 Combinations
9th lord11th lord1 combination
Total 10 Combinations

As per some learned astrologers, there are other recommended combinations too,  when the Kendra lords too are counted in such “Dhana-Yogas”.  Such a picture is shows below:-

Lord of the Bhava commanding the  Yoga    Lord of the  Bhava responding to this Yoga No of such Yoga’s
Lagna Lord2nd lord, 4th lord, 5th lord, 9th lord  and the 11th  lord5 Combinations
2nd Lord4th lord, 5th lord, 9th lord and the 11th lord4 combinations
4th  Lord5th lord, 9th lord and the  11th lord3 combinations
5th lord9th lord and the 11th lord2 Combinations
9th lord11th lord1 combination
Total 15 Combinations

There are other  prominent  Yogas which are designated as wealth giving Yogas,  which   are mentioned in the  astrological classic books. But the planetary constitution of these Yogas remains the same concept of combinations of the lords of the houses relevant to the acquisition of riches, wealth and gains.  The efficacy of these Yogas further depends upon the strength of the planets and houses involved. It further depends upon their placement in the specific houses of a horoscope, along with the benefic and the malefic status these planets involved are having. It further depends upon the strength of these planets in the relevant divisional charts like Navamsha,  D-10 chart etc.   Raja Yogas of different combinations and the  Dhana Yogas , often overlap each other.  Raja Yogas confer high status and dignity to a person, which has to account for one’s status of wealth too.  The modern times demand that  the status of a person in the society must have    his  or her  good  status of  wealth and riches.  Lagna lord making a link with the 5th or the 9th lord, gives rise to a Raja yoga, simultaneously it is a “ Dhana” yoga too. Such a situation is not a new phenomenon these days.  A “Dhana” Yoga, (indications of sizeable amount of wealth) in the horoscope of a person elevates the social and the professional status as well,  in the  present scenario of  the overall  status of a person, as per the horoscope of a person.

Indu Lagna:-

Classics mention that to arrive at the   financial prosperity of a person,  a reference in this regard has to be made to “Indu Lagna” in a birth chart.   It is known as Dhan lagna as well and is  counted as a special lagna in a birth chart. Indu lagna is also known as the ascendant of wealth. As per  Brihat  Parashara Hora, it is also known by the name of a  Moon ( Chandra ) Yoga.  Its special importance is to determine the wealth and the financial prosperity of a person. It also determines important incidents of a native’s life, so for his or her financial position and prosperity is concerned.  It is in fact a Chandra yoga, as it has been described in Uttra Kalamritta, immediately after the description of Adhi yoga, which is again a Chandra yoga.

Method of   calculation and the casting of Indu lagna:-

As per Uttra Kalamritta, the units of brilliance for the seven planets in order of weekdays are 30, 16, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 1. (Refer Shaloka- 28, chapter-IV, Uttra Kalamritta, translated  by Dr. P. S. Shastri)

1. So the seven planets starting from Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn are   supposed to contribute 30, 16, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 1 Kalas or specific units respectively, for the calculation of the Indu Lagna.

2. Note the ninth lord from the main   lagna and the ninth lord from the Moon lagna.

3. Add the Kalas (units) contributed by these two lords.

4. Divide this sum by 12.

5. Ignore the quotient and take the remainder thereof.

6.  Locate from the position of Moon as to which house this remainder number  falls in.

7. It becomes the Indu Lagna.

A benefic planet without any malefic  influence and an exalted malefic planet in the Indu Lagna, makes a person very rich according to Uttra Kalamritta . A simple benefic planetary influence on Indu Lagna , makes a person financially better and comfortable. A malefic influence on the  Indu Lagna, creates financial hurdles to a person.

Note>>( This yoga applies to the ascendants of Virgo and Libra , when Saturn will be in the  5th house in its own sign Capricorn or Aquarius and the 11th sign being of Cancer or Leo being owned by Moon and Sun, aspecting the 5th house and the  Saturn placed in it).

  • If Jupiter is in its own sign in the  5th house,  aspected by Mercury from the  11th house, one will be rich.

Note>> (This yoga applies to the ascendants of Leo and Scorpio , when Jupiter  will be in the  5th house in its own sign  Sagittarius or Pisces signs  and the 11th house  sign in both these cases will be of Mercury. So the aspect of Mercury on Jupiter from the 11th house will be from its own house which is very good an aspect.

  • If Mars is in its own sign in the  5th house, asepcted by Venus from the 11th house, a person will attain richness.

(This yoga applies to the ascendants of                Cancer and Sagittarius,  when Mars   will be in the  5th house in its own sign  Aries  or Scorpio signs  and the 11th house  sign in both these cases will be of Venus. So the aspect of Venus  on Mars  from the 11th house will be from its own house which is very good an aspect.)

  • If Moon is in its own sign in the  5th house, aspected by Saturn from the  11th house, a person will become rich.

(This yoga applies to the ascendants of                Pisces ,  when Moon    will be in the  5th house in its own sign  Cancer and the 11th house  sign of Saturn. So the aspect of Saturn   on Moon   from the 11th house will be from its own house, which is very good, an aspect).

any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me.

In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content material as
you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever
    before.
