This house is linked to the spiritual attainments of a person as well, being linked to the ‘Mantra-Shakti’ of a person. In addition to that, it represents the diseases a person will permanently suffer from. Such ailments and diseases can be non-curable and fatal. It is thus known as ‘Roga-Sathana’. Thus, this house is also called as ‘Aya-Sathana’, when Aya stands for one’s monetary earnings. 11th house is one of the houses of ‘Upchaya-Sathana’, amongst 3rd, 6th and the 10th and the 11th houses. ‘Upchaya’ means growth, as such this house is one of the principle houses of ‘Upchaya-Sathana’, viz, the houses of growth, so has direct bearing to the profession of a person. This house depicts gains of all kinds, income and material acquisitions, nature of earning, fulfillment and achievements of one’s desires and goals in life, status, proficiency, titles, honors, business dealings and its profits, rewards, high authority and favors from the ruler. All the above significations are linked to the profession of a person. A strong lord of the eleventh house placed well, free from any malefic influence, will give enough strength to the entire birth chart. Eleventh lord in the tenth house, the house of profession may bestow unaccountable income, popularity, respect, name and fame to a person.
The position of the eleventh lord is very much related to the profession of a person. XII. 10th Lord in 12th House :-
As per “Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra”, the twelfth house mainly signifies loss and expenditure. 12th house is the last house of a horoscope. It is called as Vyaya Bhava. Vyaya stands for consuming or spending. Lagna shows one’s self and strength, when the 12th house shows its exhaustion. This shows one’s expenditure and loss. This house is also known as ‘Viraya-Sathana’, the house of wastes, which means loses of a person. It thus shows the expenditure, loss of wealth of a person. Extravagance of a person is seen from this house. Loses of a person during his or her lifetime are also the outcome of this house. It shows jail and imprisonment as well. Mental anguish, loss of authority, loss of sleep, wickedness, penury and bankruptcy of a person are also indicated by this house. 12th house indicates the foreign places, which is a place away from one’s own home, which can mean a foreign country. Foreign settlements are also indicated by the 12th house. It represents falsehood, one may resort to for one’s professional rise. All the above significations have a link with the profession of a person in one way or the other. Being the 3rd house from the 10th house, it becomes the house of “ Parakrama” (the valor), for the tenth house the house of profession. Thus, the twelfth house has enough significance for the profession of a person. It has to be noted that this house is one of the houses of ‘Dushta-Sathana’ (6, 8, 12 house), as such this house mostly represents bad developments in the life of a person. 10th lord in the 12th house indicates that a person may settle aboard for his / her profession or may have strong links with foreign countries due to his / her profession.
