The engineering profession of different disciplines has to be adequately technical in nature. There should be link of the 4th house, its lord, 5th house, its lord, both indicating education, with the 10th house its lord, indicating profession involving a technical planet, so that one’s technical education gets linked to one’s profession ultimately. Further, it is necessary for the engineering profession to have:-
1. The influence of malefic planets like Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu should be there on the 4th house/lord and 5th house/ lord, for acquiring technical education and then technical profession.

This is the birth chart of a senior level civil engineer who has graduated in civil engineering long back and has qualified his post graduation in civil engineering too. He has been enjoying a good status in his professional field and was posted as head of the department of a government organization, when he has faced some bottlenecks too in his professional career. He has retired now. He is again working with a high profile construction private company after his retirement.

He got admission in engineering in a good engineering college in the dasha of Saturn/Rahu/Sun. Saturn is in the 5th house, the house of education, with the 5th lord Jupiter, showing again education. Saturn has the aspect of Mars which is the 4th and the 9th lord, showing again education as the 4th lord and as the 9th lord a good assistance from his destiny for getting admission in engineering.
