In this birth chart, there is a” Parivartana” between the 9th  lord Mars    placed in the12th   house and the  12th   lord  Moon  placed in the 9th  house.  So it is an exchange between the   lord Mars and the 12th   lord Moon , constituting a “ Dhainya” Yoga”.    As already mentioned in the beginning of this chapter that “Dhainya” Yoga”, gives malefic result.

As per Moon there is an exchange between the  lagna lord Mars and the  10th lord Saturn which is a very good exchange yoga, between the lagna  lord and the  4th lord, the two “ Kendra” lords,   known as “Maha” Yoga. As already mentioned in the beginning of this chapter that “Maha ” Yoga , gives benefic and good  results.

9th  lord in the 12th  house:-

9th house:-  Apart from other significations, the 9th  house and its lord indicates the “ Bhagya” the destiny of a person. 9th house is the 5th house from the 5th house thus represents the “ Purva-Puna-Phallam”, that is the outcome of the results of the actions of a person in his or her past lives. It becomes one’s “Prarabda”, which is to face the life’s situations,  good or bad, in this “Janama”   viz, this life. This house represents the destiny of a person and its fruits,  that  are in store for the person concerned. 9th house represents one’s “ dharma”,  that is the  commitment of a person towards one’s “Dharmic” rituals and actions,  which means to perform with sagacity, devotion and truth, which are the fundamental tenets of one’s “ Dharama”.  If a person is “ Dharmic” he or she will be true to himself or herself, taking it as an honest commitment towards his or her Creator,  the God.   9th house also represents one’s  Guru apart from one’s father, when the “Guru” guides him  or her to perform such “ Karmas”,  actions in this life,  which will bring good results  to him or her in this life, apart from guiding him or her to perform better in this life. It also makes a person  to know and feel his or her responsibilities of life with disciplined  concerns. 9th house also represents an authority in the system of governance apart from    higher education and knowledge of religious scriptures etc.

12th house:-  12th house is the last house in a horoscope, when counted from lagna. This house thus represents the end of the cycle of life. Lagna signifies the beginning of life and the  12th house means its end. Apart from other significant significations this house, this   house is known as “ Vyaya” Bhava, the house of loss. This house is mostly associated with distress and loss of various sorts. This house is linked to hospitalization, false hood, thefts, imprisonments and the like. Equally it is one of the houses of “ Muksha” Trikona, meaning liberation from the shackles of life and its living.

It can obviously be concluded that if the lord of a benefic house of a horoscope is placed in the 12th house, it is bound to lose  the  good and the benefic  characteristics and significations of that house.  Similarly when  the lord of the  12th house, gets placed in a benefic house of a horoscope, it will certainly spoil the benefic character of that benefice  house.

In the case of an exchange between the 9th lord and the  12th lord, a cautious astrological approach has to be kept in view, before concluding the results there of, as the malefic  significations of the 12th house , coupled with the benefic significations of the  9th house cannot be ignored, which may get diluted.   Such results will further depend upon the PAC conditions of the 9th and the  12th lords.

Brief Synopsis:-

This is the birth chart of Sh. Kejriwal, a   bureaucrat turned politicians, who resigned from a lucrative and a high profile government job, to ultimately enter politics for political power through the corridor of an activist against corruption in the country.    Massive anti-corruption protests and demonstrations in 2011 were initiated by a well-known famous social activist Anna Hazare in response to exposure of unprecedented financial scams and corruption by erstwhile governments. The aim was to press the government to enact a strong and effective law against corruption, through a Jan Lokpal Bill. Hazare was supported by a clutch of activists and professionals, which became popularly known as Team Anna. Team Anna included Kejriwal as an activist as well, who had opined for it.    Hazare   wanted to keep the movement politically neutral,  but Kejriwal desired  that direct involvement in politics was necessary because attempts to obtain progress regarding the Jan Lokpal Bill through talks with existing political parties, had in his opinion achieved nothing.  It was his actual mission to come to optical power through the corridor of being an activist against corruption taking refuge under Anna movement against corruption.   Hazare rejected it , saying  that  elections require huge funds, which will be tough for activists to organize without compromising on their ethical and moral  values. He also said it would be difficult to ensure that candidates are not corrupted once elected.  Kejriwal defied Anna Hazare, when Anna  was the main force behind Kejriwal   to elevate him   as a revolutionary leader. In fact, Kejriwal had   become   an actual disciple of Anna Hazare in this regard.   Hazare and  Kejriwal   agreed,  that their differences regarding a role in politics were irreconcilable.

Kejriwal announced that he was forming a political party and the name given to the party was  Aam Aadmi Party. It is alleged in the corridors of the political circles that   Kejriwal was actually very much power hungry and used Anna movement for his political ends to grab power.  He ignored Anna Hazare and other promimnent political activists too in this regard and became the chief minister of Delhi after a big win for his party in Delhi elections.  He thus betrayed the trust of Anna Hazare and other notable activists in this regard,  which can be said as a betrayal to Anna Hazare, for his thirst for power.    when Anna  nurtured him  as a young political activist against corruption.    Earlier he had taken a vow that he will never hanker after power, when he defied his own vow and assumed the post of chief minister of Delhi. Even as chief minister he had said that he will not use any luxurious cars,   as also luxurious sops from government as a chief minister, which he subsequently defied. He used abusive languages against the prime minister and other prominent ministers of the central government when he was hauled up by the judiciary in this regard  and   had to render unconditional apologies for the same.

(Note:-  The above description about this  person  by this author is made here not for any political purposes, nor has it any connection with the political scenario of the  country for the author,  nor is this  any attempt to belittle the  status of Sh. Kejriwal as a politician and the  chief minister of Delhi, by this author.  This author holds him in high esteem as the chief minister of Delhi. For this author, it is to ascertain this situation  as per the planetary  promises and combinations  in this regard, purely for academic purposes).

Analysis of the birth chart:-

As has already been mentioned above that Sh. Kejriwal is a politician turned civil servant, who started his career as an officer in Indian Revenue Service. He initially graduated in engineering from IIT Kharagpur and then qualified the central services competitive examinations to find a place for himself in Indian Revenues Service. He resigned from the Indian Revenue Services from a high-level post in the income tax department. After that, he became the   Chief Minister of Delhi, when he launched a new political party named as AAP, after going through a hilarious movement against corruption, in which he was one of the prime activists.

As far as his education is concerned Jupiter the 5th lord is in lagna,  aspecting  the 5th house and the  9th house, showing enough earnestness for a good education.  There is a ‘Saraswati Yoga’ getting created in this birth chart. To explain it further, when  Mercury, Jupiter and Venus  are in the ‘Kendras, Trikonas’, or the 2nd house, jointly or  in ‘Kendras’ or ‘Trikonas’ to each other,  and Jupiter being in strength, occupying its own house, its friend’s  house, or its sigh of exaltation,  it gives birth to ‘Saraswati Yoga’,  as per   Mantreshwar’ in ‘Phaladeepika’.  A person born in ‘Saraswati Yoga’ is highly learned, scholarly, very well versed in prose, poetry, sacred scriptures and higher mathematics. It signifies his urge and attainment of very good education, when he has qualified his engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur, one of the best engineering institutions of the  country, followed by qualifying the central services examinations, attaining a high  position  in IRS, which is considered as one of the important central services of repute and honor.  It is this “Saraswati Yoga” which is repeatedly tempting him to go higher and achieve much more through his knowledge,  when he jumped in to become an activist against corruption and finally became the chief minister of Delhi, after floating  a new political party known as AAP.

Venus  the 10th lord is in the lagna with the 5th lord Jupiter, which is very good combination for achieving better in life, through one’s intellectual powers and assertions.  Mercury  is  also in the  lagna with the 5th and the 10th lords Jupiter and Venus,  as the 11th and the  2nd lord showing enough growth in his cherished desires to achieve much more in life as the 11th lord is the  lord of the  house of gains,   when Venus is creating a “ Dhana” Yoga as well,  being the 2nd lord in lagna with the 10th and the  5th lord, Venus and Jupiter.

With Mercury being placed in the Leo sign, it shows his communication skills are prominent and authoritative. Mercury placed in the sign of  Leo, which is the 5th sign of the  “ Kaal-Pursha” Kundali,  always gives very commanding role as an orator and a speaker  and makes one  a very impressive  speaker which may  influences others.  In the present case Mercury is with Venus which apart from being the 10th lord is also the  3rd lord making his  oratory powers    more effective and influencing. But it needs to be noted that this combination Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in lagna is in “Pap-Kartari” position. It reduces its impact to some extent, when he became the chief minister of just a union territory, when all the vital powers of ruling the union territory  of Delhi are with the central government. It equally shows that his orations  were often full  with cryptic and bitter languages   against  his opponents.

The 9th lord Mars is with Sun the lagna  lord and is placed in the 12th house, when the 9th lord Mars is debilitated.  The combination of the  9th lord and the  lagna  lord is a very good combination of planets which constitutes  a “ Raja” Yoga, known as “ Raj – Laxmi” Yoga.  But this Yoga is occurring in the 12th house, the house of loss,  when the 9th lord Mars is debilitated.  Mars is the 4th lord as well, a yoga-karka planet for this lagna, when Mars is representing the “ Singhasana” the seat of  government power too. It could not favor him with all the benefic  significations of this yoga for his   eminence as a chief minister,   when he became the chief minister of a union territory only where the  powers of governance are quite limited and almost negligible, for a chief minister.  He as the chief minister of Delhi commands hold only on a few unimportant departments, when the major departments of administration are being operated by the government of India.  Lagna lord Sun is in the 12th house with debilitated 9th lord Mars, indicating destiny, shows some perpetual health problem for him,   when it is known that he is suffering from diabetes.

As per Moon chart, this combination of Jupiter, Mercury and Venus is occurring in the 5th house from Moon which is in lagna with Saturn. This “Saraswati” Yoga, is getting linked to the 5th house with Jupiter as the 9th lord. It glorifies his intellectual tendencies, knowledge, talent and above all makes him a famous person within the society. This  position of Jupiter from Moon, being in the 5th house from Moon,  is considered very good for the name and fame of a person, including his literary calibers.  In lagna there is a combination of the 4th lord Moon signifying “ Singhasana” the seat of power with the  10th lord Saturn, indicating his “ Karmic” status, which in the  present case has to be taken as his profession.  But the 10th lord Saturn is debilitated, showing its diminished   strength. Though  it is a good combination of Moon and Saturn in lagna, indicating  his good professional status,  yet, Saturn being debilitated as the  10th  lord,  his position as the chief minister of Delhi  could not be so strong as he became the chief minister of a union territory where the powers of a chief minister are very much limited. The aspect of Saturn the 10th lord on the 10th house shows his political affiliations in his professional field as Saturn indicates politics, which made him to join politics.  Another good combination is in the 4th house,  the  house of the Singhasana”( the seat of government power),  is the combination of the  lagna lord Mars  and the  5th lord Sun aspecting the 10th house. It is an added advantage to him for his political power as chief minister controlling the highest seat of government authority and power, as chief minister and head of his political party AAP.  His diminished powers as chief minister are visible through this combination of Mars and Sun, as well, as Mars as the lagna lord is debilitated.   Both Mars the lagna lord and the  10th lord Saturn being  debilitated is  reducing  the intrinsic   values  of these two planets, in delivering better for him,   in  his capacity  as the chief minister. Chief minister of a union territory, Delhi, has limited administrative and governing powers, when    all the  administrative powers of main governance of the union territory Delhi,  are with the government of India. In such circumstances, the role of the chief minister is reduced to a figurehead chief minister only. But there is an exchange between Mars and Saturn which cancels the debilitation of these two planets, resulting in “Neeecha-Bhanga” yoga, making these two planets to perform better. But “ Neecha-Bhanga” of planets, do  help in delivering better, but not without initial assault.

Analyzing the 9th house of this birth chart, it has debilitated 6th and  7th lord  Saturn placed  in it along with the 12th lord Moon. The  9th lord Mars  is in the 12th house with the lagna lord Sun, when Mars is debilitated. The combination of the Saturn and Moon in the 9th house has an aspect of Jupiter which apart from being the 5th  lord, is the  8th lord as well and the dispositor of Rahu placed in the  8th house.

The 7th lord in the 9th house is a “Dosha”, as it shows that the planet has been ‘set’ or is “Asta’ since it goes to the 3rd house from its house. It is an affliction to the 9th house, as the 7th lord apart from being a “Kendra” lord is the lord of “ Kaam-Trikona” house  as well.  It affects the significations of the  9th house to a greater extent, particularly when the 7th lord Saturn which  is debilitated in the  present case is in the 9th house with   the 12th lord Moon showing loss  is also with it. It is supposed to be detrimental to one’s marital affairs.  But the marriage part of this birth chart is not being discussed here at all.  9th house represents the “ Guru” of a person and also  indicates the commitment of a person to one’s “ dharma” which means commitment  to the sacred principles of life to be true to self and others.  In the present case since the 9th house is carrying an affliction, along with the 9th lord which is in the 12th house, the   house of loss and is debilitated.   it shows that the person concerned is not true to his “Guru” and does not perform his “ Dharmic” functions fully well,  which means  does not follow, a sacred and a righteous approach in his life in the matters of social commitments and obligations towards elders and his mentors.

The impact of the exchange of the 9th  lord Mars  placed in the 12th house  with the 12th lord Moon placed in the 9th house .:-

In this birth chart, there is a” Parivartana” between the 9th  lord Mars    placed in the 12th   house and the  12th   lord  Moon  placed in the 9th  house.  So it is an exchange between the 9th  lord Mars and the 12th   lord Moon , constituting a “ Dhainya” Yoga”.    As already mentioned in the beginning of this chapter that “Dhainya” Yoga”, gives malefic result. It resulted in his defying and  abandoning the path followed by his political Guru Anna Hazare,  and other reputed activists when he  adopted a path of acquiring the  political power as a chief minister which he  had vowed not to go for. It shows his deviation from his initial commitments of not using luxury cars and the government sops, when he is now using all the luxury facilities as a chief minister including a government house worth crores as per media reports.  Since Jupiter is aspecting the combination of the 7th and the  12th  lord, Saturn and the  Moon, in the 9th house from lagna,  it shows some respite to the significations of the  9th house for better achievements, which has repeatedly sustained him as the chief minister of Delhi and the convener of AAP.  But ultimately with the dasha period of Saturn which is debilitated and is the 6th lord( punishment),  apart from being the 7th lord ( his image) placed in the 9th house ( house of destiny),  with the 12th lord Moon, indicating jail,  when its depositor Mars is in the 12th house, again indicating jail,  in exchange with the 9th lord Moon, confirming jail, he  was ultimately  arrested  as the chief minister of Delhi by the E.D Authorities. The results of such a malefic exchange called as “ Dhaniya-yoga”, are apparent.
